Lincoln City- Oregon

We went to Lincoln City yesterday after going to the Spirit Mountain casino for brunch. To be honest, brunch sucked! Just eggs were cooked in a hundred way, poached eggs, scramble eggs, boiled eggs, egg and ham, egg and spinach, egg and bacon, egg soup, .... I wanted to have some seafoods like king crabs or clams, but all I got was egg. The desserts were good though. The donut I had was almost as good as Krispy Kreme, tender and moist. I didn't have a chance to check their cheesecake but I know they were good since I had eaten it last time.

We supposed to go to the beach In Downtown of Lincoln city but the wind was too fierce so we didn't to go the another beach near there. The beach I went to is about 10 minutes away from Downtown. It is like a loop and condos are built around, so it is always less windy than the one in town. When I arrived, the tide was so low that I was able to walk to the other side of the beach. We recognized that there were a lot of hole on the sand as the tide got low. We thought these holes might have clams and we were RIGHT. On the other side of the beach, a family was digging clams. Usually, people who wanted to dig clams should have a license but this week, they said we didn't need one. They had a long tube that they use to suck sands with clams out of the holes. There were plenty of them!! The clams were as big as a golf balls and they are so fresh, so organic, and so so fatty. As I were digging my feet in sand, I caught one. My sister and I were so excited that we decided to borrow my niece's digging tools to dig clams. The plastic tools were made for toddlers. How embarrassing! We digged for 30 minutes and caught about a dozen. We were EXTREMELY happy with the result.

After that, I walked along the coast and I just found the restaurant I went with my club two years ago. It was called Mo's. I missed their fresh clams and oysters. Some boys were digging clams under the bridge near the restaurant. I guess they had a lot since they were all over the place. The bridge was very romantic. But only a couple and I were there, so it was a little awkward. I took many beautiful pictures. They said you could see sea lion and American Bald Eagle by the telescope. I may try next time!

I found a fortune of clams there

It was a great day to hang out on the beach. When we were leaving, a couple brought a bucket of clams to show us. They proably 5 6 dozen of clams. I am sure they had a great dinner last night. Leaving Lincoln, I slept all the way to my home, so the journey ended here. Hehe
